Kimono Compost

In the pattern collection "Kimono Compost" - I chose to use parts of organic waste. Peels were collected after cutting the salad, parts that would not be eaten because they rotted were kept aside, even those that aged in the fruit coolers in the refrigerators and on the ships to my house. The color palette combined warm and cold tones using pastel and bold colors in a careful manner. My inspiration came from everyday life and the visual landscape of the gardens of Yarkon Park throughout Tel Aviv, which include trees of different species that are connected together in a Mediterranean climate next to a river that has been polluted for bathing for decades, as well as the tools of the work included: geometries, combinations of mathematical relationships based on the golden ratio - sponsored by Fibonacci, the non-cyclical plane mosaic named after Roger Penrose. All of this under the guidance of lecturer Ella Amitai Sadovsky.
