Non Woven Picture - Hunters in the Snow

As part of the "Materials Now" course, we conducted an in-depth study on how to obtain the properties of hairiness and smoothness of several materials. Research choices were made in the Material: combining existing industrial and handmade fabrics into one fabric. Our goal was to enable fabrics that have hairy and smooth parts and to test the range of different technologies.

RESEARCH

We came out and presented the results and conclusions of the experiments. Part <-> Hairy. The Axis was chosen from a joint observation of visual adepts. We saw that anything with layers can be smooth or hairy because of the type of structure according to the specific structure. Use of fabrics: woven, knitted, non-woven from cotton and wool fibers. Use of fibers: cellulosic, synthetic, protein, artificial. Among them are organza, polypropylene, silk, marker fibers and more...

Wall Picture

The results of the research led us as a team - Eden Schs and Katya Patel - To create a Wall Painting inspired by the Sidewalks in the Snow, made in 1565 by Peter Boyle. The painting included areas that ranged between realism and expressionism. Pleasant and also harsh.
