Renovating by Felting- Jackets
Sustainable textile Mission - Make Cloth With New Design & Material. Creating a non-woven fabric from: silk fibers, polyester jacket from the Fast-Fashion Industry. I used an Industrial Felting Machine Whos Call “Niddle Punch”.
Research
Material Materials Details: Can Motors: Relationship to material, details of lifespan, change in a new structure when connected to the source. General research: Dismantling a cut, testing different synthetic materials in it: lining, back, front, pockets versus connecting to fibers from the current or new compound. Connecting parts of material and textural research into cuts, sewing to a renewed jacket. After working on the jackets, I turned to further disassembly and assembly, as can be seen in the pictures.
Needle-Punching Machine – a powerful industrial machine with over a hundred thick and strong needles, which, each time a piece of fabric enters it, separates and causes the disintegration and reassembly of what is inside. The machine is basically intended for preparing fabrics for the medical industry. The Project is located in the Shenkar Textile Laboratory, Israel.
